The rooms of Hotel Herse d'Or are simple but functional. They all are equipped with a TV, a phone and a hair dryer. Furthermore, they are soundproofed thanks to the insulated glazing.

They are available in 3 different types, with 2 levels of comfort :

Single and Double rooms (shared bathroom)
There are 16 of those (8 singles, 8 doubles). These rooms are light. They have a tiled sink area, the shower and the toilets are on the same floor. These rooms have either a view on one of the hotel's courtyards and its little flowery patio, or a view on the street.

Double and Triple standard rooms (with en-suite bathroom)
Hotel de la Herse d'Or has 20 standard rooms (15 doubles and 5 triples). They all are equipped with an en-suite bathroom, with bathtub or shower, and w.c. Some have an authentic period marble fireplace. They look out either onto the street (Sainte-Marie church, Mayenne townhouse) or onto one of the hotel's courtyards, and its little fountain.

Baby cot available on request.

Continental breakfast (6 euros/day/person extra) will be served from 8am until 11am, in a lounge with apparent beams and stonework: hot beverages, baguettes, bread, butter, a choice of jams, orange juice.

Strong perspiration smell in the room, probably the cleaning lady. The services offered are not really put forward for the clients, for instance, no book with all the information in the room.

Small, no bathroom nor toilets in the room. Not very expensive and perfect if you only need to find a place for 1 night.

When we booked, it was not said that there was no shower in the room. Also, the room was overheated. *** hotelaparis.com's word*** : You booked an economic room, in the description for the hotel the Herse d'or, it is indicated that these rooms do not have a shower but it is located on the same floor.

We loved the location of this hotel close to the Place des Vosges and the very busy neighborhood of the Marais. But we didn't like the lack of cleanliness in the room (dirty bathroom, towels not changed, the rooms hasn't been clean during our stay).

Very pleased. The price was exceptionally good and the staff friendly and helpful. An elevator will be a good addition - and they're about to install one - since I was on the 6eme! Beautiful, historic area with many inexpensive eateries close by. I would stay there again.

Disappointed with the room, bed by the wall on one side, and no night stand on the other side, tiny bathroom with toilets too close to the sink, no bathmat which is not convenient when coming out wet from the shower. The only string point, the staff's welcome

The special internet offer suggested a room for 59 euros a night. The only problem was the bed was too small and there was not even a shower and toilets in a corner of the room (located on the same floor) and the room was giving onto the street (thank you for the noise), the breakfast was barely enough (defrosted croissants); In short, the star this hotel has (without an elevator all the more) is truly a lie and I do not recommend to stay there.

The fact that there was no private shower or toilets is distinctly written on the site. Shared shower and toilet on the same floor. The lack of elevator also.

The shared shower is not convenient and not very hygienic (blood stains...) No sound proof in the rooms Breakfast doesn't star before 7.30 AM (when I had to leave), 7 AM in other hotels... Otherwise, nice and pleasant staff
