This area starts at the Porte de Saint Cloud, in the south, and ends at the Porte d'Auteuil, in the north, where the Bois de Boulogne begins. This area is at the same time residential on the Paris side, a business district between the Porte Saint Could and the Seine, with many headquarters of large companies - such as, famously, the one of France's main TV channel TF1; in the northern part, around the Porte d'Auteuil itself can be found many sport related venues such as the Parc des Princes stadium, home of the Paris Saint Germain soccer club; the Roland Garros stadium, home of the French Open tennis tournament, or the Hippodrome d'Auteuil racetrack.
Choosing a hotel in the Porte d'Auteuil area can be a good alternative if you have to go to the Porte de Versailles, just on the other side of the Seine after the Porte de Sevres.
