You will be pleasantly surprised by our many little permanent dwellers at the Hotel des Académies et des Arts. These little people, brain children of two artists (painter Jérôme Mesnager and sculptor Sophie de Watrigant) are subtle and witty creations. They seem to have scattered to every corner of the place, and they look after you in a kind and complacent way, to give an additional touch of joy to your stay in our establishment. At your disposal, we also have the bar, the concierge service, and a screening room with a large choice of artists' movies.

Rooms
Each one of the 20 rooms of Hotel des Academies et des Arts has its own atmosphere, inspired by artistic creation.

Decorated in an Art Déco or Classic style, they all feature quality equipments for your every needs: air conditioning, WiFi, LCD Web TV, music or video on demand, international channels. A mini bar and a small safe are also at your disposal.

Breakfast
Our croissant will be the king of your Parisian breakfast. Whether you want to enjoy it in your room, near the fireplace, or in the library, our continental breakfast includes: freshly squeezed fruit juices, baguette bread, continental toasts, cereals (popped-up corn, muesli), eggs and/or bacon on request, cheese, yogurts, hot beverages (Tea from the "Palais des Thés" shops, Nespresso coffee). Breakfast can be served until 12am.

Location
Hotel des Academies et des Arts is in the heart of a very lively and famous district, once frequented by classic painters and writers who gave it its soul. Perfect location to enjoy the Parisian "rive gauche" lifestyle to its fullest: Saint-Germain-des-Prés, its shops and art galleries, and so many legendary restaurants like La Coupole, Le Dôme, La Rotonde, La Closerie des Lilas... If you are fond of contemporary art, the "Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain" is just around the corner.

In spite of the artistic effervescence of the area, Rue de la Grande Chaumière manages to remain a quiet little street, at the crossing of Montparnasse Boulevard and Raspail Boulevard. Gauguin and Modigliani have lived on this street.

Hotel des Académies et des Arts has borne its name since early 20th, because of the many painting academies nearby which once participated, or are sitll participating in the artistic life of the neighborhood: l'Académie de La Grande Chaumière, l'Académie Colarossi, l'Académie Fernand Léger, l'Académie Lhote, l'Académie Matisse, l'Académie Ranson, l'Académie Russe et l'Académie Vassilief…
