We booked a quadruple room but when we got to the hotel at 9 PM with 2 small kids, we had the unpleasant surprise to get a triple room. We had to see 4 rooms before they got us a decent one where we camped because the owner said that was this room or the street!!! Only compensation, we got free breakfasts, after we asked for it... This hotel doesn't deserve its 3 stars, except for the location. The rooms are old and well maintained. Only the cleaning ladies are nice and the receptionist named Francois, other than that, not qualified staff... Anyways, very regrettable!!! Answer from Hotel du Palais Bourbon I sensed we would get trouble with this person. She booked a quadruple room, so a double bed and 2 single beds. yes when they arrived we had a little issue, which was quickly resolved as we opened a small adjacent room to a triple room, so they had a big room with a double bed, a single bed and a bathroom and a small adjacent room with a single bed and a shower. but the story doesn't end there, they wanted 2 double beds in the same room. We are not used to have a couple with a boy and a girl asking for this. We gave a room with 2 double bed even if we didn't want it. They were happy and took this room, thanking the cleaning ladies. If the comfort, the cleanliness, the staff, the value for money really was worth 2/10, then any normal person would have left just paying the first night. There are plenty of other rooms in Paris. When a hotel is dirty or does not feel right, you must go, we never kept anyone against their will. We've had this hotel for 42 years, and we are renovating it for we ask this man, who asked us to keep his luggage until the evening after their check out which is in total contradiction with his review, to clean his own back yard. We arrived at 3 PM, the room wasn't ready when on the reservation it states it is available from 1 PM. moreover, the staff at the reception wasn't very pleasant brigitte A. (France-Rhone Alpes)

Hotel a bit far from all the business but therefore very quiet. The staff is very kind, the rooms a bit outdated but very clean with ancient wood floor and a good smell of wax polish. We had 2 adjacent rooms, the second one a bit small but that was only for a night. Overall, a very good address to keep in mind. These reviews reflect the opinion of people who stayed at the hotel after booking their stays on hotelaparis.com and who accepted to answer a feedback questionnaire.
